In 2003, at the age of 16, Martin Bengtsson was one of Sweden’s most promising footballers, but by 2005 his career was over. In TIGRAR, Ronnie Sandahl, screenwriter of the tennis drama BORG/McENROE, describes the path of the young player whose lifelong dream seems to come true when he is signed by Inter Milan. But while the club tries to drive up his price, Martin has to ask himself what personal price he is prepared to pay. The film is an unsparing look at the global football industry and illustrates the limits to which young people are pushed along the way.
